About Us:<\/h1>\n

The Center for Dermatology NP PA (CDNPPA) is an educational company dedicated to assessing and developing dermatology nursing and physician associate\/assistant education and practice.<\/p>\n

The founder and President, Dr. Margaret Bobonich, is known for her innovative and successful dermatology educational program development. As a cofounder of the Center for Advanced Practice Dermatology, she launched the first, live DCNP Review Course in 2019 and served as the course director. The DCNP Review Courses and the Practice to Pass program became a critical educational tool for dermatology NPs striving to elevate their level of professionalism by achieving national certification.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Dr. Bobonich\u2019s commitment to dermatology education has expanded to include all levels of dermatology nursing practice and physician assistants. The unmet demands for dermatologic care have resulted in the rapid influx of NPs and PAs into dermatology, yet there are few formalized post-Masters programs. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive dermatology curriculum for NPs and PAs. Furthermore, preparation for certification is critical for the DCNP certification and PAs CAQ-Derm certification examinations. As the science and technology of dermatology evolves rapidly, so must professional education and competencies.<\/p>\n

Margaret Bobonich, DNP, FNP-C, DCNP, FAANP<\/strong>, is an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. She is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) and founder of the Center for Dermatology NP PA. Her clinical focus has been on immune-mediated skin diseases and doctoral work in education for dermatology all advanced practice providers.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bobonich leadership includes development University Hospitals Medical Center\u2019s innovative 2-year interdisciplinary post-Master\u2019s Dermatology NP Residency and conducted the seminal research for the published Core Curriculum for Dermatology NPs: Using Delphi Technique.<\/em> She is co-editor of two editions of Dermatology for Advanced Practice Clinicians<\/em>, co-chaired the national task force to establish and publish the Professional Competencies for Nurse Practitioners in Dermatology<\/em> (2018), and Director of the first DCNP Review Course in 2019.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Dr. Bobonich published Dermatology Essentials for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants<\/em> in 2023 which outlines the foundational competencies for clinical practice. She is founder of the DCNP and CAQ-DERM Review\/ Dermatology Essentials & Advanced Pharmacology Conference<\/em>, which focuses on early career development of dermatology NPs and PAs. In 2024, she serves as co-founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Dermatology for Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants<\/em> advancing professionalism and collaboration for all advanced practice clinicians in dermatology. Her leadership was recognized by AANP\u2019s 2024 State of Ohio Award for Excellence, Elevate-Derm Alliance 2024 Honorary Lecture, Case Western Reserve University\u2019s 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award to her outstanding contributions, and the second year as POCN 2024 NP of the Year Award.<\/p>\n
